Our Vision

Our vision is to encourage and empower each mom who chooses life.

We aim to not only save the life of the baby, but to change the life of each mom. Through our comprehensive approach, we provide solutions for the challenges she’s facing, and resources to help her take her next step towards her personal goals.

The Need

Although the number of abortions was on the decline in the United States, there was an increase in 2018 and 2019, with over 630,000 abortions performed in 2019. The abortion rate per 1,000 women remained constant.

In 2019, 9700 abortions were performed in Tennessee and 11% of all pregnancies were terminated. In that same year, 15600 abortions were performed in Virgina.

Our Process

Mission Partners

Our partners make initial contact with the mother and the rescue of the baby begins with referrals from our local, state, regional, and national partners.

Intake

We provide a safe environment and assurance to our moms. We begin to take assessments and set expectations for the next steps. Pregnancy and community resource referrals create wraparound care.

Pre-Birth

We offer emotional and physical support, community connections, and financial support. We take assessments every 4 weeks.

Post-Birth

We continue to offer our support and a loving community up to age 3 of each baby. We take assessments every 8-16 weeks.

We endeavor to connect with other like-minded agencies across the state and country to build relationships, share experiences, and work together to assist mothers who choose life.

We strive to replicate the success we have experienced in the Nashville area to other areas of the state, and then to the southeast region, thus reaching more mothers and saving more babies from abortion.

Our unique value is to bring immediate support to the mother and provide a continuous network of community support services throughout her pregnancy and beyond to help ensure the safe delivery and aftercare of the baby.

Our primary approach is to make connections between the mother and community resources with OSL “filling the gaps.”
